Hubungan Tinggi Badan dan Berat Badan dengan Kadar Gula Darah pada Anak Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Background: Children's health is an important aspect in their growth and development, especially at primary school age. One of the health indicators that need to be considered is blood sugar levels. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between height, weight, and blood sugar levels in primary school children. Methods: The research design used was cross-sectional involving 32 samples of elementary school children selected by purposive sampling. Height measurements were taken using a stadiometer with an accuracy of 0.1 cm, while body weight was measured using a digital scale with an accuracy of 0.1 kg. Blood sugar levels were measured using the glass blood method with a glucometer. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between the study variables. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between height, weight, and blood glucose levels (p = 0.000 < 0.05). Conclusion: This shows that anthropometric factors, such as height and weight, have an association with blood sugar levels in elementary school children. However, height and weight itself did not have a significant relationship with each other (p = 0.252 > 0.05).
